The three day Piaget Polo Event took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, November 27 – 29, 2009, celebrating the 30 year anniversary of the Polo Watch Collection.
Piaget has associated itself with a new polo team, which was one of six preselected for the famous “Triple Crown”, the world’s most prestigious polo tournament. This new 37-goal handicap team, which will play under the name Pilara Piaget, was officially presented at the Pilara polo club, a luxurious sports and real estate complex located 50 kilometers from Buenos Aires. It will constitute a new factor and a new challenge in this ultimate international polo competition. Captained by the legendary Marcos Heguy with a 10-goal handicap, Piaget has created a new limited edition Polo 45mm Chronograph watch celebrating the Pilara Piaget leader.
Guests experienced the excitement of the “Triple Crown” Polo Tournament and relaxed in the Pilara Piaget tent. The unrevealing of the limited edition Marcos Heguy chronograph watch was held at the prestigious Oviedo Restaurant. Guests were treated to a surprise visit and speech by Marcos Heguy himself.
The highlight of the weekend was the Piaget Soiree at La Rural. Local guests were surprised by the complete transformation of the venue. La Rural is typically used to showcase cattle but it was hard to imagine that scene as white draping sheets and chandeliers adorned the venue.
